Home / Cathodic protection
Buried and submerged steel in southern Iraq faces saline, high-chloride soils. We supply and install complete cathodic protection systems built by UK and European manufacturers, and commission them to the operator's protection criteria.
Supply
We quote complete packages so a buyer deals with one supplier, from the rectifier to the last test post. Every item ships with manufacturer certificates and test records.
Services
Design is carried out with qualified CP engineers from our UK manufacturing partners. Our Basra crews install, test and hand over.
Soil resistivity, existing potentials and current requirement tests.
Groundbed and rectifier sizing to the operator's specification.
UK and European equipment, documented and delivered to site.
Groundbed drilling, cable laying, connections and test stations.
On and instant-off potential surveys and a full commissioning report.
Standards
We work to the standard the operator names. Typical references for Iraqi pipeline and facility work are listed here. The usual protection criterion for buried steel is an instant-off potential of −850 mV or more negative against a copper/copper sulphate reference electrode.
Send us the scope or tender documents. We reply with a priced proposal or our pre-qualification pack.
